If your New Year’s resolution is anything like mine then you will have already been and registered at your local health club, been through an induction and already got a couple of workouts under your belt. Now I know what you’re thinking, MistaJam, you’re the overweight champion…the <insert Sun Newspaper pun for fat here> 1Xtra and Radio 1 Broadcaster/DJ/Presenter/Actor & blogger; why would you be joining a gym? Well, I may not end up being LL Cool Jam but 2009 is the year that I become the not so overweight champion!
If your gym is anything like mine though, the music is terrible. I’m talking Cheesy Dance Hits 2000/mobile disco/local commercial radio doing a friday night “Club Music” show terrible. Never fear, MistaJam is here to redress the balance. Every month right here on the blog I will put up a 45 minute mix for you to download to your iPod or phone and take in the gym with you. Some will be full of classics, some will be upfront – all will be banging, gym ready and are available for PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY.
Thanks to Mrs Frank who gave me the title, we kick off the Gym Jam mix series with the House, Rave & Jungle mix I did for the 3 Wise Old Skool Men show on 1Xtra on Christmas Eve 2008. Having tried it in the gym last night by accident, I realised that it would perfect for a workout.
